8/16/2023 0 Comments Good memories to cherish![]() ![]() I am gratified that I have not given up even when I wanted to, because my work is not done, I have new projects that I am trying to develop and would love to introduce once I can launch them and see how effective they are within the community. ![]() I am delighted that when I make an error, I try to correct it rather than just settle and hope that the person does not see the mistake. I am proud that when people look at my images, they smile and say thank you. I do not rely on the machine or technology to do the work I am a hands-on photographer who will lay on the ground to make sure that I am capturing the best angle. I take pride in the work that I do and the work that I deliver. When it comes to Beautiful Memories 2 Cherish Photography, I want my clients to walk away feeling confident in the service provided and want to come back again and trust me to capture their special moments. I am in the process of trying to be an all in one company where clients can come and get everything they are looking for. I am educating myself daily on new information so I can introduce new ideas to clients like adding smoke bomb overlays to images, which is a work in progress right now. I specialize in many different areas but to name a few, which are, of course photography, removing unwanted images out of pictures, and invitations. I want my clients to look at the picture and remember what the day felt like and how they were during that moment so they can recreate that moment again or share it with a loved one down the line. I am not an inside photographer because I love to add nature to an image to give it a realistic feel. I also have an assistant by the name of Ja’Kala Burnett, who goes with me to locations at times. Well, since the pandemic, I am in the process of re-branding and changing the name from Beautiful Memories To Cherish Photography to Beautiful Memories 2 Cherish Photography. Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of. ![]() I am still in the learning process because new features are introduced every day and technology is changing, which means that I must change with it if I want to succeed. It lasted for a while and then my daughter said she wanted to model and of course, mom wanted to support her, so I was motivated to unpack my camera and look through the lens again. I did not want to disappoint my customers with no life images, so I walked away and went through depression. The passion that I once had looking through a lens had become very dull and not as colorful as before. In 2014 my husband and myself had our second daughter who passed away at birth and it devastated us, and I did not see life through rose-colored glasses anymore. It made me want to put my camera down and say forget it or feel like I was not good enough but the support that I have made me not give up and keep going until I lost my passion in 2014. Then, of course, there was the challenge of looking at other people’s work who had more talent and skills and then questioning my own talent. Clients who did not want to pay but occupied my time and commitment. I have had difficult customers who say they did not like my work but used it for their own benefit. My blended family and friends who did not let me give up and motivated me to believe in my talent when I did not believe in myself.Īs with any field, you are going to have a bump in the road, it is up to you on how the struggle will profoundly affect you. Then there was the love and support of my husband Pedro Jr. The reason I am where I am today is by God’s Grace and walking by faith. I am blessed to help share their stories, which drives me when doing a photo shoot. ![]() I love looking into the lens and seeing the new story of someone’s life, whether it be a new family member being introduced, an individual dealing with self-esteem issues or someone who is starting over, your special grad getting ready to announce they are graduating and this is just a few of the areas I have had the honor to be a part of. I started practicing with my sisters and as time went on, other individuals saw my work and asked could I photograph them, and it began to grow from a hobby to my brand. My passion grew while I was in college and took a photography class and truly learned how magical a camera could be when introducing Photoshop, lightroom and just my creativity to images. I loved to capture nature and see what life looked like behind the lens of a camera.
